MUSEUM MISSION STATEMENT

The 12th Armored Division Memorial Museum shall serve as a teaching museum for the study of World War II and its impact on the American People. The museum will preserve history of the 12th Armored Division for use by future generations, veterans and their families. The Museum will create innovative new education programs for children, expand academic access to World War II historical materials and establish a technology bridge between the 12th Armored Division Historical Collection and the rest of the world.

1996 - MATERA BUILDING PROPOSED BY DR. WILLIAMS

1998 - PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRM ENGAGED

1999 - MUSEUM FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED

1999 - LONE STAR GAS BUILDING PURCHASED

2000 - INTERIOR REMODELING BEGINS

2001 - DEDICATED- OCTOBER 6
